Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare’s Best Features

Call Of Duty Modern WarfareOne of the places that the video game Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare scores consistently well is with its graphics. Even its harshest critics have declared the visuals to be nothing short of stunning and impressively realistic. There is an impressive amount of attention to detail in the graphics and every bit of this intense game is given the same loving attention.

At times, the visuals that are provided with Call of Duty 4 are almost distractingly realistic, but this is the price to be paid for good rendering. As with the previous games, CoD4 has impressive sound effects, and the quality of being completely immersed in the setting is very strong.

As with previous Call of Duty games, there is a terrific arsenal of weapons that are available to the players. Some of the weapons that you can find or loot off of dead squad members or enemies include the P90, the MP5, the M249 and of course the ubiquitous AK-47. At the start, you begin with the M4 and the G36C.

Of course, one of the most eagerly anticipated aspects of Call of Duty 4 was the multiplayer mode, which can support up to18 players over Xbox live. There are sixteen maps that can be played on right out of the box with plenty of different game-types that can appeal to a wide variety of gamers. There is the Hardcore mode of play where one shot equals a fatality, compared to Old School mode, where there is a lot more jumping and video game physics.

Call of Duty 4 has topped the list of popular video games for years, which speaks to its impressive playability and the astounding way that its visual and emotional world engages the player at an emotional and viseral level. This game has shown itself to be a true winner.

Halo 3

Halo 3

Halo 3 is the third game in the Halo Trilogy and the thrilling conclusion to the events begun in Halo: Combat Evolved. Master Chief returns to finish the fight, bringing the epic conflict between the Covenant, the Flood, and the entire human race to a dramatic, pulse-pounding climax. The Covenant occupation of Earth has uncovered a massive and ancient object beneath the African sands – an object whose secrets have yet to be revealed. Earth’s forces are battered and beaten. The Master Chief’s AI companion Cortana is still trapped in the clutches of the Gravemind – a horrifying Flood intelligence, and a civil war is raging in the heart of the Covenant. It’s all been building to this — a desperate, final war that leads to a soul-shattering climax of epic proportions. Take control of Master Chief to defeat the Covenant and destroy the Flood to prevent the annihilation of the human race.

I had the game before and it broke was glad that I found such a cheap good condition copy to replace it with

5 Stars Great Game
The game cam in perfect condition, and is a lot of fun, I mean a lot of fun, but it wasn’t as fun as I expected it to be. However, it would be a good decision to buy this game, because it is amazing.

4 Stars Online play is quite good, campaign is mediocre. 3.5 stars.
Right off the bat, I wouldn’t spend your money buying this game new if you don’t have xbox live. Halo 3, simply put, isn’t that great of a first person shooter. Halo one was really quite good, and then Halo two came, and it was sort of a let down. While the campaign’s an improvement on Halo two, it’s still not that great. It gets redundant really fast, and it just isn’t that hard. Whereas the elites on Halo were really challenging and the brutes on Halo two at least charged a lot, on here they’re just really easy.

That being said, the online play for Halo 3 is really good, which is what I think most people buy it for. It has varied game types, it finds people really easily, and is just a lot of fun.

However, I have some gripes about this too, mainly the ranking system. The ranking system is really quite awful. With the exception of Lone Wolves, whether you are ranked up or not has nothing to do with personal performance, but only if your team wins. The other days I played a game of swat where I had twenty kills with a +12 kd spread and I was ranked down for my team losing.

Overall, the game is overrated, but it’s still pretty damn fun. It’s the only game to get a 10 out of 10 from xbox magazine (which is a damn shame, that should have been Chaos theory) but the reviewer was clearly biased. He said towards the end, as a negative, “campaign has minimal surprises, but who cares?”

5 Stars awesome!
I bought this game and beat it the first day I had it. And it was awesome!I am 9 y/o and if I like it you will too!online was cool too! my favorite weapon was the gravity hammer. one of my friends hit a wart hog with 3 players in it and killed them all! you will LOVE this game.

4 Stars Fairly solid shooter
I would like to say that I think the single player campaign while not that long is actually the best part of the game. I know everyone else is going crazy over the multilayer but unless you are very good at shooters the people online are way to hard to play against you just wind up loosing over and over again. Other then that the graphics are pretty and the story line wraps up nicely.

Discussion Review: Braid

The hallmark of a great ‘casual’ game is that it takes elements from existing game types, wraps them around a new or innovative gameplay twist, and turns it all into something that feels fresh. It is how games like Plants vs. Zombies and Puzzle Quest take the existing gameplay from the Tower Defense and Match 3 genres respectively and turn them into engaging and addictive games that feel completely original. Matt and I look at another game that looks to join ranks with those by taking a fres
