5 Stars Excellent Microphone
I’ve been waiting for this microphone patiently since it was first announced by Logitech ever so long ago. While the $80 price tag seemed a bit steep, the desire of having a completely wireless RockBand set and $40 in Amazon.com gift cards I earned doing internet surveys made the cost a little more reasonable.

I decided to use Amazon’s trade-in service to take care of the remaining $40, and free shipping ultimately made it free, other than the time I used to do the surveys and 5 games that I could care less about. The trade-in service is pretty hassle-free. You select the games that you want to trade, print out the invoice and the paid postage-slip, pack it up, and send it off to process. I took care of all that on Thursday (June 11). They were received, processed, and my account was credited on the following Monday (June 15). I purchased through a Marketplace seller, which saved a little more cash at the cost of a slightly longer time to ship it. The total (with shipping) came to $71.94.

Now on to business… The microphone itself is significantly larger than the normal RockBand microphone. It’s closer in length to the SingStar microphone, with a windscreen that is about 1.5 inches in diameter. Despite the increased size, its weight is not that much more than the RockBand mic, and it feels well-balanced once the batteries are in. The remainder of the mic is about the same width as the RockBand mic, so it easily fits into the same clip on my mic stand. The box also includes a wrist strap (mine had 2 actually), which attaches at the bottom near the antenna and should be helpful for preventing accidental drops.

The receiver also acts as a miniature stand for storing purposes, and it comes with a fairly long cord. Excess cord can be wrapped around the bottom of the stand, which helps counterbalance the mic when it is set on it. I had hoped that it would also be used to charge internal batteries within the mic as well, unfortunately it runs off of two standard AA batteries instead. The booklet claims a battery life of up to 20 hours, so battery changes should not be too frequent at least. I installed some of those fancy Energizer Advanced batteries (the ones which used to carry DLC codes), so it’ll probably last even longer.

On my first trial of the mic, I simply fired up RockBand and synced the mic and chose a song. The mic appears to amplify to a higher volume than the standard mic, and its sensitivity was dead-on with the same settings that I’d been using for the RB mic. It had no trouble picking up my voice at all, and I could do percussion sections with a mere tap of the windscreen.

Next, I tried a range test. The booklet claims that it works up to 30 feet, and unfortunately my condo is not large enough for me to get that far away. It could easily pick me up in my tiny backyard, which is at most 25 feet from the PS3. I then tried going upstairs while singing, and got to the furthest point away in the house. It had no trouble picking me up through the floor and two walls (door open).

All in all, this is a very fine wireless microphone that requires no modding of any kind. Its price tag is admittedly a bit steep, but I suppose they can get away with that since it is the first quality USB wireless microphone that I know of available in the US. It claims to be compatible with the PS2, PS3, and Xbox 360, and may be used on RB, GH:WT, GH:M, Boogie, Karaoke Revolution, or the Sing It! games. I’d recommend it if anyone wants their RockBand 2 setup to be fully wireless.

5 Stars Just OK
My husband and I were really excited to use these Illuminated Drum Sticks for our Rock Band 2 ion drums. The only problem was they broke about 15 minutes into game play.

Be sure to read the instructions carefully before you the batteries in these things! It’s a tad bit more complicated then just jamming the batteries in.

3 Stars Not for real drumming
I bought these sticks to use with my Rockband drums. Not a good idea. These are heavy sticks. I like a lite touch with my Rockband drums. The handle holds two AAA batteries. The stick srcews into the handle. This causes the stick to vibrate and produce noise when striking an object, even soft objects. The LEDs are cool though.

5 Stars Best blu-ray DVD player for entry level consumers.
I recently purchased a standalone blue ray unit and it was loaded with the common problems for such devices.

- slow load times

- questionable picture quality

- limited customization options

Needless to say I took it back and started doing the research for replacement. One thing that I noticed was that in all of the reviews for the best blu-ray players was that the PS3 was always in the list. Sometimes it was at the top sometimes it was at the bottom but it was always listed. Digging into the PS3 specs i thought I would give it a try.

I got it today and after 2min of set up I was watching my first blu-ray movie on it. I spent another 10-15 min adjusting the display and audio setting to match my hardware configuration and I am blown away by the quality of picture and sound. Better yet when I put in the movie for the first time it loaded in seconds instead of the 1-2min I was used to on the old player.

In summary the reviews are right to make sure that the PS3 is in the list of the top 10 blu-ray players. Personally I find that it loads fast, looks great, and had plenty of customization options to match your video and audio hardware requirements.

Note: I will probably never own a game for this system and I am pleased as punch because I have a great blu-ray player..

5 Stars Not disappointed at all!!
I ordered a used 80gb ps3 for only $[...] incl shipping and was expecting to have a problem with it. On the contrary, the system came like new condition with not one, but TWO wireless controllers AND a HDMI cable to boot! I was pleasantly surprised with this great deal. I also ordered unreal tournament, gta4, little big planet, and resistance2 used via amazon and am very impressed by the quality of these games. i recently bought a 32″ samsung 1080p hdtv for the bedroom in which the ps3 is hooked up to and the picture quality of blu-ray and the games is simply fantastic! the online experience is also great albeit a little difficult when competing with other players via deathmatch with gta4 and resistance2. i couldnt get online with unreal tournament for some reason but the single player is just fine. all in all, i would strongly recommend getting the ps3 if you enjoy modern interactive entertainment and blu-ray movies!

5 Stars For games, does what it should.
I was nervous about spending $75 for this instead of forking up the $200 for an Xbox 360 Arcade unit to replace my older one with for the HDMI port. My TV only supported 1080i through component, and with the new Octava HDMI/Toslink switch box i had bought, HDMI was a must for my Xbox. I hooked everything up last night, and the converter works just fine. Like many people said, it does blast some of the whites kind of bright, and even the instruction sheet mentions you may need to turn down your brightness on the TV. I kicked my brightness down by 4 clicks, and it is fantastic. Games are now coming through at 1080p instead of 1080i, and the toslink connector on the converter is working just fine, it passed through to my switch box and then to my surround sound with no sound issues in 5.1 digital. I don’t have the HD-DVD add-on, but for games, works like a champ.

This thing will not work with my t.v. I bought this at frys good thing i did so i can return it real fast. I have a ln52A860 and it will make my t.v. blink on and off and then static for the longest time. If i could i would give this peace of junk no stars. Don’t waste your time on this product

These 2 games are so different but very much fun to play. the marvel game can be played by 1 person or up to 4 people which is very good. and the Forza is a great racing game

5 Stars Great value, regardless of how low the price is!
They may offer this game at a low price, but I guarantee you that what you get out of the deal is one of the best racing sims (IMO the VERY best) on the Xbox 360, and a great 4-person brawler featuring many popular Marvel Characters.

Forza 2 has great customization and car selection, and all the options to either make the game easy to difficult, depending on your preference. My friends and I have stayed up all night playing this game, trying out new cars and perfecting races. I would say a definite buy, before this game disappears before the shadow of its older brother (Forza 3). Best part? Tricking out my Porsche and then giving it my own special paint job.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance has great multiplayer, and is very simple and easy to play with people who wouldn’t normally play video games. I played it with some “nubs” who had never played on a 360 before, and even they were doing well against the Marvel foes. On top of that, it’s great to play with the different Marvel characters, in addition to a great story. Best part? Deadpool!

1 Star This Design is Retarded!
The guy from the Netherlands is 100% correct. This is an idiotic design. There’s no way that the cable will reach both the tv and a separate tuner; which is at least half the reason for buying it. It’s supposed to be video AND audio, duh! Maybe if I stand my tuner on its end behind the tv, it’ll reach…Mine’s getting returned immediately.

5 Stars exceeded expectations
I was a little skeptical about this cable and monster in general. but the cable that microsoft gives you does component or composite which kind of bugged me. this cable is definitely higher quality. the difference in picture quality is noticeable right away. with the first party cable text was a bit blurry, with the monster cable the text looks like it should. you can read a review at team xbox, I would agree with what they said about it. however, I would not pay 50 dollars for this cable. look around and find a good price. I got mine for 20. if you’re going to use component I would recommend this cable.

They are working on something bigger and better than blu-ray and when or if they decide to release it I’m sure the majority of sales are gonna be HD by that time. So in my opinion Blue-Ray will possibly be just like A-tracks. You may think o I got blue-ray but the shelf-life isn’t gonna beat HD at all.

People are getting it all wrong about buying HD DVD players now that Blu-ray won. I can still get HD DVD movies, but now I can get them for under 10 bucks. I got this drive when it first came out, before I even bought a 360. It is picture perfect. Now that I have a console with HDMI output, it looks even better. It’s a nice addition, and an affordable way to view HD movies, and yes, Blockbuster still rents HD DVDs through their on-line service. I’m buying all the tittles I can on HD DVD, and all new tittles on Blu-ray. Can’t loose with low prices.

5 Stars xbox controler for pc
my first controler was no good would work with my pc but amazon replaced it and sent me a new one right away. thanks amazon!! when i got it this one worked great no issues with any games from wheelman to need for speed undercover. i had a logitech (2 of them) and they died but i found they didnt work with every game where the xbox one has so far. set up is easy and just a good controler plus u can use it on an xbox too if you choose to. over all i am happy with it so far thanks amazon you guys did a grat job by me!

1 Star Ghosting and color glitches
I purchased this cable because the hdtv/tv selector switch on my original cable failed. I had to tear the old cable apart and rig the selector switch. Once i did that the original cable worked perfectly, but i figured i should get a new one on the way.

I ordered this type instead if the microsoft cable because it was cheaper and looks like a better cable. This is one of those times that looks can be decieving.

With this cable i get ghosting and color glitches that are not there with the microsoft cable.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ITEM. BUY THE MICROSOFT CABLE, IT WORKS, THIS ONE DOESN’T.

My son’s xbox 360, had been working for a year with no problems, but last week the picture started to blink on and off, I notice if I moved the cable the picture would clear up. I figured the cable was bad so I thought I’d just buy another regular AV cable like the one that came with the system.

But my sons TV is high definition so I thought why not try this HD cable because it is actually cheaper then the regular AV xbox 360 cable. I thought since it cost less the picture probably won’t be as good.

Was I WRONG!!

The pictures is unbelievable, like in Lego Star Wars with the regular AV cable that came with it, the picture was good but the light saber was always a little blurry. With this new HD cable it is all Crystal Clear, the color is amazing and this cable COST LESS!!

If you have a HD TV don’t wait for your regular AV cable to go on your xbox 360 get this cable. And yes with the new HD cable the picture stopped blinking on/off.

4 Stars Worked great for an even better price…
When you buy this to replace a broken one in your Xbox you have to switch out the board from this one and the old one (Google it and you’ll find instructions). You cannot just plug this one in and play but all in all an easy and rather inexpensive fix. It took about 10 minutes and has been running perfectly. By the way you’ll want to look up how to open the case of your Xbox if you haven’t done it before, the clips in the back can be a little tricky and you have to use a good bit of force.

1 Star BUYER BEWARE!! Vague item descriptions & horrible return policy.
I am extremely disappointed with this transaction. I was under the impression this was the exact same DVD-ROM that was in my 360 but found out once it arrived that it had a newer BIOS in it which made it incompatible and unable to play xbox games – basically turning the console into an overpriced DVD console.

I contacted the seller explaining their lack of details and demanded an even exchange for what I had presumed was being ordered – but they denied my request. Upon further requests I had caved into paying for the shipping costs both ways – but still the seller denied my request for an even exchange despite their satisfaction guarantee. The last correspondence I had with them they told me that they were sold out of the product – thus in effect denying my return all together.

They did not give all needed and relevant information on this product – so I can only imagine how many others they are omitting important details. As I have illustrated, their return policy is horrible as well. Buyer beware. I will NEVER do business with the seller again.

1 Star Not what it appeared to be…
The item that was pictured and described which I thought that I was buying was not what was sent to me, at least not in it’s entirety. To complete my purchase I was asked to pick between a black or gray casing cover for my hard drive and I picked gray, however when the item arrived all I had was an internal (naked) hard drive with no external case to attach it to the XBOX 360 system. The paperwork that was sent went on to tell me that I purchased only the internal hard drive and if I needed the external case I could acquire one from the seller for an additional $17.00. I haven’t been so upset with an online purchase since I had my credit card information stolen from an insecure site. On top of this whole thing… the hard drive itself, now that it’s all put together, doesn’t even work the way it should because there seem to be issues with the 120GB unit. Not my happiest purchase, or a great Bday gift for my son either.

i just got the mic today and i put it together and plug it it and it will not let me talk to my friends but it will let me here them. so what do i do.

As soon as I opened the box for this and pulgged it into my controller i got nothing but static through the earpiece, tried it on my cell phone and the same thing happened tried switching the wire direction but not changed

5 Stars NOT Tight! Really great sound!
This headset works perfect with my Xbox 360. The hook up to the controller is just the same as with the original headset. The sound is super. There is NO static, NO echo, and your ear does not sweat! Its soft on the ear you use to hear through, and the opposite side does not cause pressure.

The ear cuff pivits for the angle of your ear. The microphone flips, for either left ear, or right ear support.

The design is great with piano finish on the ear cuff, and padding on the upper bridge.

Simply put buy this, it is GREAT!!!!

You don’t have to be any computer smart at all. I plugged it in turned on the xbox wireless controller and started the PC game and started playing. Awesome!!!

This is a very handy device to have if you’re making the switch (or just want to use your controller on your PC) from Xbox 360 to PC, but still want to retain your controller skill. The adapter installs quickly and works on everything stated AND on Windows 7 (just directs you to the download page and you’re good to go).

I highly recommend this adapter, very cool.
